Absolutely incredible dining experience. Staff was super friendly, baked Brie was amazing. Filet was so tender I could cut it with my fork. The rolls and infused butter was so yummy. Amazing cocktails and unique dining decor. Taking this old house and turning it into such an amazing place was a great idea. Definitely worth the drive to Bristol.

What a fabulous dining experience! The atmosphere, the service, the food I can’t say enough! The restaurant is beyond charming! Our server Grant was so attentive. And the food was fantastic. You do not go here to rush through dinner you go here for a relaxed evening of true culinary joy. Kudos to J Frank!

I love this place! We have been going the last few years for New Year's Eve or day. This year we did dinner and it was delicious!!! Everything was spot on! He had the Sea bass and I had the 5 oz filet, and both were just incredible. The appetizer of oysters Rockefeller didn't disappoint either. Even the photos came out delicious! It is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. Bonus; the atmosphere is classic & adorable, especially around the holidays. Just a fantastic experience all the way around. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We are in town for the race and decide on having dinner here. We made a awesome choice, the atmosphere is so relaxed. Our server Danica was the best and was very knowledgeable of their menu. The food was very delicious, if you looking for a nice take your time dinner this is your place.

This is a must eat at place if you’re local or traveling through. The atmosphere is very cozy and the way the place is laid out is very unique. The homemade dressings on the salads were delicious, the dry aged steak was the best I’ve ever had and the sides are fantastic. The service was very good, the waitress we had was very attentive. The chocolate cake really topped off an amazing meal. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

My wife and I recently visited J Frank after hearing great things and having it on our list for a while. We made the short trip to Bristol with high expectations, and while there were certainly highlights, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. We started with the trout dip, which was delicious and easily the standout dish of the evening for me. The cocktails were decent—not exceptional, but still enjoyable. For my entree, I ordered the 14 oz. New York strip, which came with a Caesar salad and duck fat roasted potatoes. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was surprisingly basic, lacking the depth of flavor I typically expect from a fine dining establishment. The steak itself was overcooked and didn’t carry the richness or seasoning I had hoped for. On a more positive note, the potatoes were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and well-prepared. My wife chose the sirloin and crab cake entree with creamed corn. Her sirloin was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor—she considered it the highlight of her meal. However, the creamed corn had an overpowering nutmeg flavor that didn’t quite work for her palate. For dessert, I ordered the creme brulee. It was good, though at a 10 price point, it didn’t quite stand out in the way we hoped. Overall, our experience was good but fell short of the elevated expectations we had going in. That said, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming and well-executed. While it may not become a regular spot for us, we wouldn’t rule out giving J Frank another try in the future.

J Franks in Bristol is a gem! The Cake and Steak is a fantastic value—perfectly cooked steak paired with a delicious crab cake that’s full of flavor. I love sitting at the bar, enjoying the meal, and meeting friendly locals. A must-visit!

The food was SOOOOO GOOD! If you are looking for a fine dining spot, this is it! The crab cakes were delicious, drinks were , cake and oscar were phenomenal alomg with the special beef wellington. Go feed you body, mind, and soul and go there!
